Accountability for Weight Loss Check-In September 14, 2020
New hair, do care. That is the hope!
Saturday I got my hair done for the first time in 7 months! Since I started getting my hair colored/highlighted, I don’t think I have ever gone THAT long without getting it done. Thanks, pandemic!
My hair wasn’t that bad, but my new hair is muuuucchhh better!
If you live in the Raleigh-Durham area, Brooke is amazing!
Although I have no intention of hitting the town anytime soon (for, what I hope are, obvious reasons), I do hope that this will motivate me to take care of myself more. Mainly, putting effort into my appearance. It is amazing how far a little mascara can go in terms of pumping up your mood.
New bed. New job. New hair. Life is good.
This past week was my first full week back to lifting, and it went as well as it could! I will say, I miss group fitness. Nothing beats showing up for a 45-minute class and not thinking about what you have to do. I miss not having to plan my workouts and the competitiveness I would feel in those classes.
Where I live now, there aren’t a lot of choices. I don’t want to do Crossfit. I really just want to go back to MADabolic, but it’s too far away. Maybe something will pop up around here in 2021.
For whatever reason this week I have not had much of an appetite. I have been hitting my macro goals every day but seeing a high spike in my weight this week. I’m trying not to let my weight dictate my self-worth, but it is certainly easier said than done.
As you can see from the chart below, in the last month my weight has been as low as 142 pounds, and then as high as 147 this morning. Thankfully I have my measurements and progress pictures to keep me in check.
Part of me thinks that maybe I’m not drinking enough water, so I am going to focus on that this week and see if it makes a difference.
I am also eating too close to bedtime, and need to make adjustments in the timing of my eating. This could also be playing a factor in my unusually high morning weigh-ins.
I have to remember that I am adding in more food and most likely I am going to gain some weight. I have to remember that I know how to lose weight successfully, and my weight is not my worth.
Accountability for Weight Loss: Weekly Weight Average & Goals
Weekly Weight Average: 145.9lbs
Last Week’s Goal: In bed by 9pm.
I did a pretty good job of being in bed close to 9pm each night. It was probably closer to 9:30pm most nights, but I am getting plenty of quality sleep which is my ultimate goal.
Next Week’s Goal: Drink 120 ounces of water daily.
This week I am bumping my carbs and fat up slightly. I’m going to continue to lift and get a 30-minute run or bike ride in once a week.
