If you have reached this article regarding best coding bootcamps, I hope you have done your homework and determined that a coding bootcamp is right for you. If not, make sure you’ve really thought this very important decision through.

If you’re ready, I’ve compiled a list based on various regions of North America. The information provided is based on research and reviews. Use this list to determine where would be a good place to attend a bootcamp, based on cost of living, cost of the bootcamp, and your intended area of study. Under each city, I’ve also included a link to a reddit thread for further discussion.

Coding Bootcamp – Free

Free Code Camp

I don’t consider Free Code Camp to be a bootcamp, but as far as I’m concerned it is probably your best best for a free way to learn how to code. They have a variety of certifications available. These certifications are essentially learning paths for specific technology tracks. They include:

  • Responsive Web Design
  • JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures
  • Front End Libraries
  • Data Visualization
  • APIs and Microservices
  • Quality Assurance
  • Scientific Computing with Python
  • Data Analysis with Python
  • Information Security
  • Machine Learning with Python
  • Coding Interview Prep

Free Code Camp has amazing content and tutorials. Looking back, I might have been able to learn on my own with them? All that to say–check them out!Best Online Coding Bootcamp

Career Karma has compiled a list of 32 online bootcamps. Check out their article and reviews!

Coding Bootcamp Austin

Built In ATX did a review of 7 bootcamps available to attend in Austin, TX. The list includes community colleges to traditional bootcamps to 10-week courses. Most of the bootcamps in Austin start about $10k. The Austin Community College route seems like a great option and probably offers financing.

Coding Bootcamp Chicago

Built In Chicago laid out 9 bootcamps available in the Chicago area. Bootcamps there are going to run you $10-$17k, and the durations and options seem to be quite variant. There are options for mobile development, data science, in addition to full-stack development, which seems to be the most popular in general amongst coding bootcamps.

switchup compiled a list of 4 bootcamps in the Detroit area along with customer reviews. Tech Elevator and Nucamp appear to be the most highly regarded in the area.

For coding bootcamps in Kansas City, I also referenced switchup who provided 5 potential options for the area. Unlike Detroit, some of these coding bootcamp options had some pretty low scores. Nucamp and Prime Digital Academy were the most highly regarded for the area.

It’s no surprise that NYC offers over 10 coding bootcamps to attend. Built In NYC put together a list of 14 different bootcamps to attend in New York City. Much like LA, the cost of living in NYC can be much higher than other parts of the country, but the benefit here is the connections to the industry that can be made.

I love these bloc.io comparisons! Coded by You and Horizons Academy are two coding bootcamps specific to Philly. It appears that several offer financing which is always a great option to have.

Coding Bootcamp Sacramento

In doesn’t appear that there are a ton of options in Sacramento for coding bootcamps according to Career Karma‘s list. There is a coding bootcamp being offered by UC Davis, which I assume is probably similar to the offering from other universities in partnership with Trilogy Education.
